Shoes:
Black. Doc Marten Boots and platform shoes or boots are never
allowed. No open-toed or sling back styles. No heels higher that two
inches. The base of the heel must be wider than a one pence piece to
ensure safety and stability and to avoid damaging the parquet floors.
Boots or Wellingtons in regulation colours may be worn to and
from school in winter but must never be worn indoors.
|
- P.E.: White T-shirt, dark
blue shorts, plimsolls. These items should be labelled and stored
in a draw string bag with the child’s name on, so the bag can be
left in the cloakroom
-
- Parents and carers are requested to:
-
-
Ø
ensure that children wear sensible black school shoes
-
Ø
clearly label all items of children’s uniforms
-
Ø
ensure that children do not wear trainers to school,
although they may be worn at lunch time if the child wishes to play ball
games
-
Ø
note that St. Mary’s has a ‘no jewellery’ policy (for health
and safety reasons) although children may wear a watch, and stud or
small sleeper earrings only.
-
- School jumpers/cardigans, polo shirts, ties and school bags can only
be purchased from the school. They are sold at cost price on a Monday
morning or Wednesday after school at the school office.
-
- The
Headteacher is the arbiter concerning suitability of pupils’ dress,
particularly where the safety of the child is involved.
