Please note - Family Holidays

Please do not take your children holiday during term time. The school is reluctant to consent to any leave of absence due to the disruption to children’s learning, but accepts that there may be special family occasions/events or that some parents have no alternative due to work commitments. If you do apply for leave of absence please note the following:

• For requests of 10 days or less (cumulative), complete a form available from the school office
• For requests of more than 10 days apply in writing direct to the Headteacher.

Leave of absence will not be authorised for any holidays taken for the three week period prior to the test weeks (school and national curriculum tests at Y2 and Y6) and the test weeks themselves, or requests for holidays because they are cheaper during term time.

During periods of severe weather parents are advised to listen for information on local

radio about school closures on either

Essex FM (96.3 FOR 106.2FM) or The Breeze(1359 or 1431 AM).
